Emerging NP Leadership: Take the Leap

Objectives:
- Discuss one or more differences between leaders and managers
- Discuss select literature on leadership as an individual trait
- Describe select skills or tools that support NP leadership growth

Professional Writing for NPs: Articles, Chapters, Books, and More
Currently free. Three important topics (see below) combined accredited for 1.5 contact hours. This program is intended to inspire you to seek opportunities to share your knowledge and expertise through professional writing–regardless of position or career stage. This program is accredited for 1.5 contact hour.
Course Objectives: 1) Express increased confidence in writing for publication 2) Discuss knowledge of typical outlets and common manuscript requirements for NP publications 3) Submit manuscript as individual or member of collaborative writing and/or editing team.3. Consider common issues, e.g., journal selection, publication ethics, and time management 4. Identify professional writing options beyond journal articles
Dispensing Pharmaceutical Samples in Practice
Currently free. While pharmaceutical samples may provide significant assistance to patients when needed, they can also lead to error and/or influence prescribing decisions. It is important to NPs who accept and dispense samples to be knowledgeable on relevant storage and control standards, as well as how to consider benefits and risks to their patients. This course is accredited for .85 contact hour, including .85 ch of pharm. INPE is an AANP Approved Provider of CE (130325). Valid through 9/1/25. Faculty is Dr. Mary Jo Goolsby. Upon completion, the participant will be able to: 1. Examine potential controversies and issues regarding providing samples to clinic patients and 2.
