Preparticipation Physicals

Preparticipation Physicals is an  online course 

accredited for 1.25 contact hours of NP CE.  The course is designed to inform clinicians on the issues related to preparticipation physicals, as well as how to conduct and interpret the evaluation, making appropriate decisions. Faculty for the CE program is Dr. Mary Jo Goolsby. It is valid through 5/31/2017. 

The course is accredited by INPE, an AANP-Approved Provider of NP CE. It was planned in accordance with AANP CE Standards and Policies and AANP Commercial Support Standards.

Objectives:

 

Discuss prevalence and sequelae  of sports related injuries as foundation for role in conducting preparticipation physical exams (PPE)

 

Identify the goals and objectives of PPE

      • Incorporate standardized approach to history and physical examination included in PPE

        Describe the appropriate decision(s) based on analysis of PPE findings
